The content of this blog is orientated towards the observation of the city, understood as support of the multiple expressions of life. Unlike an rchitecture's magazine in which they give priority to the architectural values or the prestige of the author, here one tries to observe the city and his architectures as a biologist observes a virus. In this respect any existing construction in the city is considered to be contemporary, with independence of the date of its construction

Good bless empty plots / Alabados sean los descampados
Empty plot / Palma / Picture: Federico Climent |
Praised be the open lands, that resist the obscene assaults of the city grasps. God bless the empty plots, where still some wild grass grows, dogs run, cats are born, where children invent adventures and the mud still can get on their shoes...

Wall street against the factory
Office's and comercial building in the industrial area / Palma / Picture: Federico Climent |
When the industrial buildings are replaced by buildings with dark glasses and brilliant marbles, exhibiting big luminous labels, it is the clear symptom of the distancing of the real and productive economy to open way for another one, without transparency, purely commercial and financial, just fictitious and speculative.

Almost twin towers / Torres casi gemelas
In the high part of the city, two towers, almost twin, preside the landscape. His higher plants, they dominate the horizon, from his almost 50 meters of height, being constituted in the highest place where to live, inside the enclosure of the Via de Cintura. Still thirty-year old, show the happy and trusting style, "Pop", of the 70's spanish development era.

Deconstructing the city / Deconstruir la ciudad
Lluis Sitjar Stadium / Palma / Picture: Federico Climent 26/12/10 |
